Sessionboard vs Spark.
Spark offers a library of generic AI tasks for event marketers: agendas, bios, emails, brainstorms. Sessionboard runs AI from program state: the Editor agent drafts clips and posts from transcripts, Reviewer pre-scores submissions, Scheduler drafts the agenda, and share kits go out with tracked links. Spark accelerates blank-page drafting; Sessionboard automates from data you already hold.
SIDE BY SIDE
Where each one does its work.
Read from the approved comparison, not from a feature checklist. Where we could not verify a Spark capability from their own material, the cell says so.
| Capability | Sessionboard | Spark |
|---|---|---|
| AI from program data | Agents work from your event data: Reviewer pre-scores, Scheduler drafts the agenda, Coordinator chases tasks, Editor drafts clips and posts, Ask answers questions. Every action is logged and gated by your approval. | Multi-model prompts for marketing copy not tied to a live event database. No-code chains for marketers exploring AI workflows outside program systems. Useful when AI literacy is the buy — not when program automation is the buy. |
| Transcription and media library | Live Transcribe in the room or from Zoom, ON24 and Goldcast; transcripts, captions, clips and quote cards in a library searchable across events. | varies |
| Clips, posts and summaries | Summaries, clips, audiograms and quote cards drafted by the Editor agent from the transcript; the Content Gallery is searchable by topic, speaker and transcript. | varies |
| Review | Review plans with rounds, committees, rubrics and conflict-of-interest rules. Your team changes forms and review steps without a services ticket. | varies |
| Peer sharing with attribution | Share kits with tracked links for speakers, sponsors and attendees; registrations traced back to the share. | varies |
| API and write-back | Transcriptions, recordings and media from another tool write back to the session through the public API. | varies |
| Registration | Stays where it is. Accepted sessions and speakers sync to Cvent, Swoogo, Bizzabo and others. | varies |
Where Spark fits best: comms team wants a sandbox separate from production program data for brainstorm drafts. What often stays with Spark for now: Spark seats mid-contract for generic marketing experiments outside program data. This page compares workflow and product fit, not a feature checklist.
WHERE IT DIFFERS · AI FROM THE RECORD
Agents that start from your program, not from a blank page.
Reviewer pre-scores submissions against your plan. Scheduler drafts the agenda. Coordinator chases speaker tasks. Editor drafts clips and posts from the transcript. Ask answers from your event data. Each one works from the sessions, speakers and signals already on the record, which is what a prompt library like Spark cannot see.

WHERE IT DIFFERS · THE OUTPUT LANDS SOMEWHERE
A draft is only useful when it knows where it belongs.
Clips, quote cards and posts are drafted for review, branded with your kit, and handed to speakers, sponsors and attendees as share kits with tracked links. Every action is logged, reversible and gated by your approval, and registrations traced to a share come back to the record.

Questions, answered
Does Sessionboard replace Spark?
For program and session content, yes. Transcription, clips, quote cards, summaries and share kits are native. Spark remains optional for generic marketing AI experiments outside program data.
How is Agent Studio different from Sessionboard’s agents?
Spark chains generic marketer actions. Sessionboard’s agents target program workflows: reviewer pre-scoring, speaker chasing, agenda drafting and clip drafting, on data inside your event, with every action logged and gated by your approval.
Where do transcription and attendee experiences fit?
Native on Sessionboard: Live Transcribe, the media library, the Content Gallery and the Attend app. Spark does not capture live sessions or deliver attendee replays.
Can we write external AI output back to Sessionboard?
Yes. If another tool produces transcripts or media, the public API writes transcriptions and media onto sessions. Native capture avoids that step.
Can we export everything later?
Yes. Submissions, scores, speakers, agenda, transcripts and media export by CSV, program book export, the public API and webhooks.
