Sessionboard vs Snöball.
Snöball gives speakers, exhibitors and attendees personalized pages to promote an event and tracks the registrations they bring in. Sessionboard does the same from the program record: the kit is built from the person’s own session, clip and quote, fires from program milestones, and every share and registration lands on the speaker, sponsor or attendee profile your CRM and Pathways already use.
SIDE BY SIDE
Where each one does its work.
Read from the approved comparison, not from a feature checklist. Where we could not verify a Snöball capability from their own material, the cell says so.
| Capability | Sessionboard | Snöball |
|---|---|---|
| Who shares | Speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and attendees, each with their own kit. | Speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and attendees with personalized referral pages. |
| What they share | Their session page, clip, quote card and tracked link, branded with your kit. | Personalized event landing pages and images. |
| When the kit fires | On program milestones: acceptance, agenda publish, recording ready, plus confirmation-page entry for attendees. | Campaign-driven, configured per event. |
| Attribution | Share kits with tracked links for speakers, sponsors and attendees; registrations traced back to the share. | Registrations attributed to referral links. |
| Where the data lands | On the speaker, sponsor and attendee records; synced to HubSpot, Salesforce, iMIS, Fonteva and Nimble AMS; feeds Pathways. | Snöball dashboards; integrations vary. |
| Sponsor results | Sponsor and exhibitor results reports with shares, clicks and accounts in the room. | varies |
| Content behind the share | Live Transcribe, clips, quote cards and recaps from the session itself. | varies |
| Contract | Included in the Marketing product on the record you already run. | Separate subscription. |
Snöball is a strong standalone referral tool. The difference is what the share is made of and where the result goes: a session the speaker is proud of, traced back to a record that outlives the event.
WHERE IT DIFFERS · THE ASSET
A clip of their own talk outperforms an “I’m attending” card.
Kits are built from the person’s session: the clip, the quote, the session page. Speakers share work they are proud of, and sponsors share the session they presented.

WHERE IT DIFFERS · THE RECORD
Every share lands on a person you can act on next.
Shares, clicks and the registrations they brought sit on the speaker, sponsor or attendee profile, synced to your CRM and AMS, and Pathways puts them on the next step: invite to speak, renew, hand to sales.

Questions, answered
Can we keep Snöball for this cycle?
Yes. Run Sessionboard kits for speakers and sponsors first; attendee kits can follow when the registration platform sync is live.
Does it work with our registration platform?
Attendee entry works from the confirmation email or page for Cvent, Swoogo, Swapcard, Grip, Visit and LiveBuzz registrants; others via a tracked link.
Can we export share and registration data?
Yes: CSV, the public API and webhooks, plus the CRM and AMS sync.
