Sessionboard vs MULTILEARNING.
MULTILEARNING built its ePoster service on an LMS: hosted posters with audio narration and auto-zoom, managed oral poster sessions, and API hooks back into your event platform. The trade is a second system — posters and authors live in the vendor's platform, apart from your call for papers, your speaker records, and your program. Sessionboard publishes the poster hall from the program you already run, so titles, authors, and sessions are current by construction and every author keeps one portal.
SIDE BY SIDE
Where each one does its work.
Read from the approved comparison, not from a feature checklist. Where we could not verify a MULTILEARNING capability from their own material, the cell says so.
| Capability | Sessionboard | MULTILEARNING |
|---|---|---|
| Posters and ePosters | Poster tracks in the same call, review plan and portal; ePoster gallery with search and audio walkthroughs. | Author-recorded narration, section-by-section auto-zoom, and embedded video with adaptive streaming. Managed onsite oral poster sessions with timed screen locks and multi-presenter flows. |
| CE credit | Attendance and credits hand off to your LMS; transcripts can feed learning objects where configured. | A learning management system for webinars, accredited e-learning modules, and selling meeting content access. |
| Call for papers including poster tracks | Submission forms with logic per track and format; abstracts, disclosures and files on one submission. Returning speakers arrive with their history. | varies |
| Review rounds and committees | Review plans with rounds, committees, rubrics and conflict-of-interest rules. Your team changes forms and review steps without a services ticket. | varies |
| Author portal and readiness | Branded speaker portal with task lists, agreements and e-sign; the Coordinator agent reminds whoever is late. | varies |
| Poster sessions on the program | Agenda builder with speaker and room conflict detection; program site, embeds and the Attend app update as it changes. | varies |
| Transcription and media library | Live Transcribe in the room or from Zoom, ON24 and Goldcast; transcripts, captions, clips and quote cards in a library searchable across events. | varies |
| Author share kits with attribution | Share kits with tracked links for speakers, sponsors and attendees; registrations traced back to the share. | varies |
| Registration | Stays where it is. Accepted sessions and speakers sync to Cvent, Swoogo, Bizzabo and others. | varies |
Where MULTILEARNING fits best: poster hosting is contracted as a service, with the vendor's team managing submitter queries. What often stays with MULTILEARNING for now: accredited e-learning modules and CME content already running on their LMS. This page compares workflow and product fit, not a feature checklist.
WHERE IT DIFFERS · POSTERS ON THE RECORD
Posters run through the same call, the same review and the same portal.
Poster abstracts come in on the same forms as platform sessions, go through the same review plan, and authors upload in the portal where they already keep their bio and headshot. Titles, authors and program numbers are current by construction, with no export into MULTILEARNING.

WHERE IT DIFFERS · A GALLERY THAT STAYS UP
The hall closes. The gallery does not.
The ePoster gallery publishes with search, audio walkthroughs and Q&A, runs on any monitor, kiosk browser or phone, and stays open all year. Every view comes back as a signal on the person who looked, and multi-event organizers keep a poster library across annual meetings.

Questions, answered
Is Sessionboard a full MULTILEARNING replacement?
For the poster program, yes — acceptance through published gallery with analytics. MULTILEARNING's broader LMS (accredited e-learning, content sales) is a different product category; societies running CME on it often move the poster program to Sessionboard while the LMS stays.
Does Sessionboard support audio or video on posters?
Posters render crisply in the browser with AI plain-language summaries and ask-the-author built in. Supplementary media lives on the same session record via the media library rather than a separate hosting silo.
How do posters get into the gallery?
Authors upload in the Sessionboard speaker portal — the same place they submit bios and headshots. Accepted abstracts already carry titles, authors, and program numbers, so there is no export to a second vendor.
What about oral poster sessions on the program?
Poster sessions are scheduled on the published program beside platform talks, with the same speaker records and session pages — not a parallel calendar in another system.
Can we export everything later?
Yes. Submissions, scores, speakers, agenda, transcripts and media export by CSV, program book export, the public API and webhooks.
