Sessionboard vs Morressier.
Morressier invests in scholarly posters, pre-print infrastructure and research integrity for publisher-aligned congresses. Sessionboard competes on the operational side: call for papers, poster tracks, review rounds, speaker readiness, and turning sessions into content on one program record.
SIDE BY SIDE
Where each one does its work.
Read from the approved comparison, not from a feature checklist. Where we could not verify a Morressier capability from their own material, the cell says so.
| Capability | Sessionboard | Morressier |
|---|---|---|
| Call for papers and abstracts | Submission forms with logic per track and format; abstracts, disclosures and files on one submission. Returning speakers arrive with their history. | Abstract submission for publisher-aligned congresses. |
| Posters and ePosters | Poster tracks in the same call, review plan and portal; ePoster gallery with search and audio walkthroughs. | Research-forward poster discovery and early-career researcher features. |
| Research integrity and pre-prints | Not a research-integrity product. Disclosures and file checks live on the submission. | Pre-print and integrity tooling where that is the primary buy. |
| Review rounds and committees | Review plans with rounds, committees, rubrics and conflict-of-interest rules. Your team changes forms and review steps without a services ticket. | varies |
| Speaker materials and portal | Branded speaker portal with task lists, agreements and e-sign; the Coordinator agent reminds whoever is late. | varies |
| Agenda and attendee program | Agenda builder with speaker and room conflict detection; program site, embeds and the Attend app update as it changes. | varies |
| Transcription and media library | Live Transcribe in the room or from Zoom, ON24 and Goldcast; transcripts, captions, clips and quote cards in a library searchable across events. | varies |
| Peer sharing with attribution | Share kits with tracked links for speakers, sponsors and attendees; registrations traced back to the share. | varies |
| Publisher and society partnerships | Program book and journal-supplement export from the record. | Ecosystem ties for research-forward conference brands. |
| Registration | Stays where it is. Accepted sessions and speakers sync to Cvent, Swoogo, Bizzabo and others. | varies |
Morressier leads on scholarly integrity infrastructure; this page compares committee workflow, speaker readiness and content, not that layer.
WHERE IT DIFFERS · ONE CALL, TWO FORMATS
Platform talks and posters in the same call, the same review, the same gallery.
Poster abstracts come in on the same forms, go through the same review plan with the same conflict-of-interest rules, and publish beside platform sessions. The ePoster gallery stays up after the meeting with search, audio walkthroughs and Q&A.

WHERE IT DIFFERS · THE SPEAKER ACROSS YEARS
A speaker’s record is not reset each submission cycle.
Bio, headshot, slides, agreements and conflict-of-interest answers sit on the person across years. Returning authors confirm rather than re-enter, the portal chases what is missing, and the sessions they gave are already in the library when the next call opens.

Questions, answered
Can we run one meeting on Sessionboard first?
Yes. One annual meeting or specialty track is the common entry point beside an existing registration or abstract stack, and abstract forms mid-contract can stay where they are until the next call.
What about registration?
Registration can stay on Cvent, RainFocus, EventsAir or Cadmium. Sessionboard owns the program layer between acceptance and content reuse.
Can we export abstracts and posters?
Yes. Submissions, scores, speakers, posters, agenda and media export by CSV, program book export, the public API and webhooks.
